Folk Against Fascism British folk music, customs and culture has recently been politicised iin a way that is detrimental to those iinterested in it for its' own sake . The selling of English traditional music through a company called Excalibur , is despite the protestations of many of the artists on sale there , in practice,and is for purely political fund raising purposes. We will not supply this company knowingly through our online shop which is our only source of distribution,except gig sales. We wish to make it quite plain that, regardless of our interest in the heritage of British traditional music, we do not support any political movement using this tradition for their own unsavoury purposes. We will never knowingly permit our music to be used for these purposes, and if you ever find it being so used please tell us. |
